Searching for Yukari, a former pupil who has gone missing, cram school teacher Hatano returns to Tokyo for the first time in 12 years. He had once been a teacher at a prestigious girls’ high school there, but was forced to leave after an affair with one of his pupils, Masako. However, he soon realizes that this is related to Yukari’s disappearance.
