The film tells the story of young Yan Chixia, who waits for death by playing the world’s best exorcist under the banner of his father, and accidentally takes away the life-saving magic weapon of the Lanruo Temple’s tree demon grandmother. A young exorcist and a tree demon grandmother who has lost her magic power go through a series of funny, touching, twists and turns of events, and finally Yan Chixia follows his heart to eliminate demons and uphold justice, and grows up to be a master demon hunter.
