The story takes place in the early winter of 1932. In the red cradle of the Chinese revolution, there is a mountain village called Liu Xi, which is home to dozens of poor people, hungry and cold, and living in dire straits! It is subjected to the exploitation and bullying of Hu Hansan.
Pan Dong Zi, who is only eight years old, is an ordinary child from a poor family. Having witnessedtreachery and violence every day he looks forward to being enlisted in the Red Army. He vows to soon return to Liu Xi, and exact revenge on Hu Hansan .
