Now in their 20’s, Hong Cheng Yi and Wang Ding Zhu are still dealing with the trauma of the past and are struggling to find their place in the world. Wang Ding Zhu is a successful singer and Hong Cheng Yi is a law student whose paths intertwine with politically-minded student activist He Shi Rong and Chinese exchange student Huang Qian. Through the 2014 Sunflower movement protests as students, to fighting corporatecorruption after graduation, Hong Cheng Yi, Wang Ding Zhu, and their new friends try to navigate life as adults in a changing political landscape.
